Word Nerd 8: Normal, Normalcy and Norm
Upon the request and suggestion of my mother, I tackled one word and its iterations. That word is "normal." Normalcy is a fallacy. It has never existed as a standard that is applicable to humxnity in any way that we have ever used it besides its original purpose. And even then it didn't have much give.
